The media community in Osun State has been thrown into mourning this morning, Sunday, 7 th December, 2025, following the sudden passing of Mr. Adesoji Omosebi, the publisher of SOJWORLDWIDE.
Omosebi reportedly died in the early hours of this morning at Emmanuel Hospital, Osogbo, after a brief illness.
However, the Chairman and Vice Chairman of the organisation, alongside a colleague identified as Bolu, were presently at the hospital at the time of this report. Family members have since arrived and preparations are underway to convey his remains to the mortuary.
News of Omosebi’s passing has triggered a wave of grief amongst journalists, media practitioners, and associates across Osun State, many of whom have described him as a committed professional, passionate about the development of the state and its people.
Colleagues recall that Omosebi, through SOJWORLDWIDE, consistently offered objective reporting, insightful commentary, and a platform for civic engagement. His sudden exit, they say, leaves a vacuum that will be difficult to fill.
Mr. Omosebi who served as a Chairman, planning committee of the just concluded digital media week will be missed for his dedication to the progress of Osun Online Publishers’ Association as well as welfares of the members.
Funeral arrangements and further announcements are expected to be made by the family.
