More than just a routine gathering, the event served as a crucial battleground for control, influence, and the ideological direction of one of Africa’s largest political parties.
The Abuja convention came against the backdrop of lingering internal disputes, factional alignments, and leadership uncertainty that have trailed the PDP in recent years.
