The Deputy Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Nasarawa State, Hon. Aliyu Yakubu Barde, has passed away.
The family confirmed that Barde died on Tuesday, 16th September,2025 in Lafia following a brief illness. He will be laid to rest in his hometown, Wamba, in line with Islamic rites.
While reacting, the State Secretary of the APC, Chief Otaru Douglas, described Barde’s death as a monumental loss to the party and the people of Nasarawa State.
Before his election as Deputy Chairman of the APC in the state, Barde had served as Interim Management Committee Chairman of Wamba Local Government Area under the administration of former Governor Umaru Tanko Al-Makura
His passing has thrown the Nasarawa APC family and his community into mourning.
