The Osun State chapter of the Amalgamated APC Support Groups (AASG) has congratulated Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO) on his emergence as the flagbearer of the All Progressives Congress (APC) for the 2026 governorship election, describing his candidacy as a defining and unifying moment for the party.
In a press release jointly signed by the State Coordinator, Alhaja Kehinde Salami (Iwinsumi), and the State Secretary, Hon. Miftau Adebowale, the group said Oyebamiji’s emergence reflects the collective choice of party stakeholders and the confidence reposed in his experience, competence and commitment to progressive ideals.
The AASG noted that AMBO’s candidacy presents the APC with a renewed opportunity to reconnect with the yearnings and aspirations of the people of Osun State, while strengthening internal cohesion within the party ahead of the 2026 polls.
Reaffirming its loyalty to the APC, the umbrella body coordinating all APC support groups in the state pledged its full and unwavering support for the party’s candidate, stressing that unity, discipline and collective mobilisation would be critical to securing electoral victory.
According to the group, AASG boasts an extensive grassroots structure with organised support groups spread across local governments, wards and communities, positioning it strategically to drive mass voter mobilisation, promote the party’s message and sustain effective engagement with the electorate.
The support groups also called on APC leaders, members and supporters across the state to close ranks and work together in the spirit of unity, emphasising that the overarching objective is the return of progressive, accountable and people-oriented governance to Osun State.
The statement concluded with assurances to Asiwaju Oyebamiji of the group’s readiness to stand firmly with the party throughout the campaign period, expressing confidence that the Osun AASG is fully prepared to deliver victory for the APC in the 2026 governorship election.
