The Patriots have rescheduled their national summit on Nigeria’s constitutional democracy to July 16-18, 2025, in Abuja, in honour of former President Muhammadu Buhari and the late Awujale of Ijebuland, Oba Sikiru Kayode Adetona.

The decision to defer the opening ceremony was made to honour the memory and legacies of the two iconic Nigerian leaders.

Many key stakeholders would want to pay their final respects to the two leaders and would not be able to arrive in Abuja for the original opening date.

The Theme for the summit is “Actualising a Constitutional Democracy That Works for All in Nigeria” with clear objective
to endorse and formally present a draft Legislative Bill for a new constitution, crafted through a wide-ranging national consultative process.

Former Presidents, elder statesmen, constitutional experts, captains of industry, and other stakeholders will gather to lay the foundation for a truly democratic, inclusive, and people-driven constitution for Nigeria.
