The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that a total number of 1,502,733 Nigerians have completed both online and physical voter registration as of Week 7, covering October 6–10, 2025.
According to figures released by the Commission, 878,715 people completed their online pre-registration, while 674,018 successfully finalized their physical registration at designated centres across the country.
The data also revealed that women led the registration numbers, accounting for 828,563 (55.14%) of the total figure, while men made up 674,170 (44.86%).
INEC further disclosed that youths aged 18 to 34 continued to dominate participation with 1,106,731 registrants. Additionally, 507,097 students and 21,244 persons with disabilities (PWDs) have been captured so far.
The Commission said the steady rise in participation underscores Nigerians’ growing enthusiasm to be part of the nation’s democratic process ahead of forthcoming election.
