The Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Festus Keyamo, may intervene in the 19-year dispute between Bi-Courtney Aviation Service Limited and the Federal Airports Authority of Nigeria (FAAN) over a yet-to-be-completed four-star airport hotel and International Conference Centre.

The dispute dates back to 2005 when Bi-Courtney commenced construction of the hotel and conference center on land allocated by FAAN.

FAAN terminated the leases in 2013, citing breaches of contractual agreements and failure to complete the projects. Bi-Courtney thereafter obtained a court order restraining FAAN from repossessing the sites.

Keyamo’s intervention may finally bring an end to the dispute and allow the completion of the hotel and conference center project.

Multiple sources suggest that the minister is willing to approve the resumption of the project.
