A Civil Society Organisation (CSO), Southern Zone and Middle Belt Alliance for Peace (SZMBAP), has alleged that highly placed Nigerians are sponsoring insecurity to sabotage President Bola Tinubu’s government and undermine the country’s sovereignty.

The group’s National Chairman, Dr. Amaechi Okolie, made the allegation at a news conference in Abuja, calling on the Federal Government to take immediate and radical steps to tackle insecurity.

The CSO alleged that some highly placed Nigerians are supporting non-state actors to undermine the country’s sovereignty.

The group called on the Federal Government to take immediate and radical steps to tackle insecurity and insurgency.

Okolie emphasized that security is a collective responsibility and called for partnership with other regions in the fight against insecurity.

The CSO restated its commitment to President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, especially in uniting and stabilizing the country.

The group urged Nigerians to exercise their fundamental rights of justifiable self-defense by working together with security agencies.
