The Nigerian Army has reported several successes in its operations against terrorists and criminal elements across the country. Here are the details:
The troops discovered and neutralized 54 improvised explosive devices (IEDs) rigged in gas cylinders and wired in series beneath the Dikwa–Marte Bridge in Borno.
Troops eliminated several terrorists in various operations, including: Three terrorists at Platari and Komala in Konduga Local Government Area, Two terrorist scouts in Mandaragirau, Several insurgents during an attempted infiltration of the Mandarari IDP Camp.
Amongst the items recovered by troops are: Motorcycles, Agrochemicals, Food items, AK-47 rifles and Locally fabricated pistol with ammunition.
14 family members of ISWAP/JAS fighters, consisting of eight women and six children, surrendered to troops.
In another operations the troops also repelled an attempted infiltration of the Mandarari IDP Camp and rescued 11 kidnapped victims after engaging abductors in a fierce exchange of gunfire, uncovered 15 jerrycans containing approximately 450 liters of illegally refined Automotive Gas Oil (AGO) in Ukanafun LGA of Akwa Ibom State.
