President Bola Ahmed Tinubu held a closed-door briefing with key ministers and economic officials at the State House, Abuja.

Attendees included: Wale Edun, Minister of Finance and Coordinating Minister of the Economy, Atiku Bagudu, Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, Ekperikpe Ekpo, Minister of State for Petroleum Resources (Gas), Olayemi Cardoso, Governor of the Central Bank of Nigeria, Zacch Adedeji, Executive Chairman of the Federal Inland Revenue Service and Joseph Tegbe, Director General and Global Liaison for the Nigeria-China Strategic Partnership.

The agenda of meeting likely covered updates on: Tax reforms and implementation of new tax laws, Economic outlook and budget implementation, Monetary policy and efforts to stabilize the naira, Gas infrastructure development under the Decade of Gas initiative.

This meeting according to the report as captured by the “The Nation Newspaper” aligns with Tinubu’s focus on economic recovery and fiscal consolidation under the Renewed Hope Agenda.
