President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has given a clear directive for the National Single Window (NSW) project to be fully operational by Q1 2026.
This was announced during the fifth steering committee meeting at the State House, Abuja, represented by his Chief of Staff, Femi Gbajabiamila.
The NSW project aims to streamline trade processes by creating a centralized electronic platform for importers and exporters.
This initiative is expected to: Boost investment and trade revenues, Improve transparency,
Strengthen Nigeria’s global business credibility, Reduce trade costs by at least 25% and Cut delays and enhance efficiency at Nigerian ports.
Key stakeholders, including Ministers, Wale Edun and Jumoke Oduwole, have emphasized the importance of swift execution and collaboration to meet the Q1 2026 deadline.
The project is a crucial part of President Tinubu’s vision for achieving a $1 trillion economy.
