The Federal Government has reaffirmed that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration is guided by fairness, justice, and equity in the distribution of projects and appointments across all six geopolitical zones.

Minister of Information and National Orientation, Mohammed Idris, fnipr, said in Abuja on Sunday that contrary to misinformation, all regions are benefitting equitably from federal projects.

He noted that while the Lagos–Calabar Coastal Highway is transforming the South, the Badagry–Sokoto Highway is reshaping the North.

Funding has also been secured for light rail projects in Kano and Kaduna worth N250 billion, alongside metro projects in Lagos and Ogun. Over 1,000 healthcare centres have been rehabilitated nationwide, and more than 250,000 jobs are being created through ongoing infrastructure.

According to him, Northwest is the biggest beneficiary with N5.97 trillion worth of approvals, followed by the South-South with N2.41 trillion, while other regions have also received significant allocations.

Idris stressed that President Tinubu is “building national infrastructure, not sectional trophies,” adding that fairness is equally reflected in federal appointments and the establishment of new Regional Development Commissions.

He assured Nigerians that under President Tinubu, no part of the country will be left behind.
