Two political associations with the same acronym “ADA” are vying for official party registration with the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). The groups are:
All Democratic Alliance (ADA) promoted by Chief Akin Ricketts, believed to be linked to an anti-Tinubu coalition ahead of the 2027 elections, and listed as number 109 on INEC’s published list.
Advanced Democratic Alliance (ADA) led by Alhaji Ahmadu Suleiman as protem chairman and Zipporah Pius Miracles as secretary, listed as number 110 on INEC’s published list.
Both groups have distinct leadership and headquarters :

INEC has received a total of 110 letters of intent from various political associations seeking registration as political parties ahead of the 2027 general elections. The commission has begun processing these requests and will vet the legality, identities, and public clarity of these entities ³.
It’s worth noting that INEC recently clarified that no association has formally applied for registration as a political party ahead of the 2027 general elections, but later stated that 110 associations, including ADA, have submitted letters of intent.
