Governor Ademola Adeleke’s Rumored Defection has caused quite a stir, but Asiwaju Bola Oyebamiji, the Managing Director of National Inland Waterways Authority (NIWA), says no cause for alarm.
Oyebamiji reassured supporters that the party leadership is in control and there’s nothing to fear about Adeleke potentially joining the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Meanwhile, Governor Adeleke himself isn’t distracted by the rumors, vowing to continue his rigorous service to the people.
He’s even planning to flag off the dualization of Ila-Orangun township and the second phase of the Osogbo/Ikirun/Ila-Odo Kwara State Boundary road.
On another note, two senators from Osun State, Senator Olubiyi Oluwole Fadeyi and Senator Francis Adenigba Fadahunsi, have formally resigned from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) due to internal divisions within the party at the national level.
There’s also speculation that Senator Olalere Oyewumi might follow suit soon.
