The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has interrogated Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, an Abuja-based businesswoman and founder of Haleems Integrated Services Limited, over allegations of appointment and contract scams.
According to reports, Tejuosho allegedly used false pretenses to obtain funds from unsuspecting individuals by promising federal appointments and lucrative government contracts.
Tejuosho is accused of running an elaborate scheme involving forged documents and fake appointment letters to deceive victims.
She allegedly promised to secure government contracts for victims in exchange for large sums of money.
Tejuosho reportedly impersonated an aide to the National Security Adviser, Mallam Nuhu Ribadu, to lend credibility to her claims.
Tejuosho was invited for questioning by the EFCC and has since been granted administrative bail under stringent conditions.
The EFCC is continuing its investigation, and Tejuosho may face formal charges in court in the coming weeks.
The EFCC has urged potential victims to come forward, reiterating its commitment to tackling financial crimes.
The court had earlier recommended Tejuosho’s prosecution on charges bordering on Advance Fee Fraud, Criminal Diversion of Funds, Criminal Breach of Trust, and Cheating.
