The effects of this seizure of funds as being revealed by the survey is that, the party(APC) in government at center might face consequent in 2027 general election as about 87% of the respondents vowed not to vote for APC in the future elections. It also shows people’s solidarity for People Democratic Party (PDP) with about 85% while 2% are for African Democratic Party(ADC).

According to Dr. Adeyemo Adeyefa, a consultant who led the Geopolitical Survey International (GSI), the result shows a solid home based support for the state government and a clear demonstration of anger against Federal Government and APC led government.

“This outcome indicates that the APC strategy may have backfired, as the fund seizure has boosted the public sympathy for the PDP and strengthened the state government’s support base,” Adeyefa said.

He added that this was the fifth survey conducted by GSI since January and promised further refinement of the organisation’s methodology for future research.
