The Osun State Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has joined family members, political associates, and well-wishers around the world in celebrating the birthday of Otunba Christopher Iyiola Omisore.
In a statement issued on Monday by the party’s Director of Media and Information, Mogaji Kola Olabisi, the State Chairman of the APC, Sooko Tajudeen Lawal, described Omisore as an exceptional leader whose political career and contributions to Nigeria’s democracy remain exemplary.
Lawal highlighted Omisore’s distinguished service as a former National Secretary of the APC, two-term Senator representing Osun East, former Deputy Governor of Osun, and a 2026 governorship aspirant. He eulogized him as a seasoned administrator, astute politician, and strategist whose foresight continues to inspire the younger generation.
“Omisore’s political virtue is rooted in courage, resilience, and an uncommon sense of responsibility. His track record reflects service that is people-oriented, result-driven, and guided by a deep passion for justice and equity,” Lawal stated.
He commended Omisore’s loyalty and dedication to progressive ideals, stressing that his invaluable role in stabilizing the APC both in Osun and at the national level worth emulation.
According to him, Omisore remains an illustrious son of Ile-Ife whose towering achievements and statesmanship bring pride to Osun State. He further emphasized Omisore’s commitment to community development and his consistent support for people-oriented policies.
While rejoicing with Omisore, Lawal expressed delight in celebrating a political icon whose life reflects service, excellence in leadership, and a relentless drive to strengthen unity within the progressive family.
“On behalf of the leadership and members of the Osun APC, I pray for God’s continuous guidance, strength, and sound health for Otunba Omisore. We wish him many more years of fruitful service to Osun, Nigeria, and humanity,” Lawal added.
