The Olusin of Isanlu Isin and Chairman of Isin Traditional Council in Kwara state, Oba (Dr.) Solomon Olugbenga Oloyede, has directed the immediate profiling of non-indigenes residing in Isanlu Isin and its environs.

The royal order was conveyed in a statement, signed by Dr. Jacob Ayanda, Vice President of the Isanlu Isin Development Association, is aimed at verifying the identities of residents, separating those with genuine ties from individuals with questionable backgrounds, and averting potential threats.

“Those found wanting will be promptly handed over to security agencies, while law-abiding residents will be accommodated,” the monarch said.

Oba Oloyede made the declaration during meetings with community stakeholders, including chiefs, ward heads, vigilantes, youths, women, and representatives of non-indigenous groups, stressing that strangers with no clear identities or unidentified visitors would no longer be tolerated.

He further highlighted the need to secure bushes and forests around Isanlu Isin to prevent possible attacks by the bandits and safeguard peace. He assured residents that both government security agencies and local vigilante groups have been mobilized to protect lives and property, adding that “Our people must remain vigilant and promptly share information that can enhance security efforts”.

While reiterating his commitment to protecting genuine residents and business owners, the Olusin reassured law-abiding non-indigenes that their rights remain safeguarded. “All persons who contribute positively to the growth of Isanlu Isin have nothing to fear,” he added.

Oba Oloyede used the fora to commend the sacrifices of local security operatives and pledged that their efforts would be duly recognized and rewarded.
