A constitutional summit organized by The Patriots and the Nigerian Political Summit Group (NPSG) will hold in Abuja from July 15 to 17, 2025. The summit aims to deliberate on a more realistic constitution for Nigeria, with about 700 delegates expected to attend.

The summit will feature former presidents, governors, lawmakers, traditional and religious leaders, trade unionists, and professionals. The summit’s theme is “Actualising a constitutional democracy that works for all in Nigeria.”

Ten crucial constitutional topics will be examined, and a stakeholders’ legislative bill will be produced for constitutional reform. The summit’s report will be submitted to President Bola Tinubu and the National Assembly.

Notable Participants include former Presidents, Chief Olusegun Obasanjo and Dr. Goodluck Jonathan are confirmed to address the summit.
Other Key Figures are General Yakubu Gowon, Professor Wole Soyinka, and Mallam Nuhu Ribadu are among the notable participants.

The summit aims to enrich the ongoing constitutional reform process and build consensus on the system and structure of Nigeria’s constitutional democracy.
