The Joint Admissions and Matriculation Board (JAMB) has announced the cut-off marks for the 2025/2026 academic session.

The benchmark for admission into universities is 150. The benchmark for polytechnics and colleges of education is 100 while the benchmark for colleges of nursing is 140.

Additionally, the Federal Government has reiterated its stand on the minimum age for admission into tertiary institutions, which is now 16 years old. This decision is non-negotiable, and institutions are directed to ensure strict compliance.

The cut-off mark for universities has increased from 140 to 150 and the minimum age for admission into tertiary institutions is 16 years old.

Institutions are expected to comply with the new cut-off marks and age limit.

However provisions have been made for legitimate exceptions, especially for gifted children or those with accelerated educational progress.
