The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has raised concerns over 295,856 uncollected Permanent Voter Cards (PVCs) in Ondo State.
Out of 2,053,061 registered voters, only 1,757,205 have collected their PVCs while 295,856 PVCs remain uncollected in Ondo State.
INEC will resume the Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise on August 12, 2025, to capture new voters and update existing records.
The exercise targets new registrants, those who couldn’t register previously, and individuals seeking to update their data or transfer registration.
INEC warns against double registration, citing a N100,000 fine, one year imprisonment, or both, for offenders.
INEC urges political parties, civil society organizations, and traditional leaders to support efforts to improve PVC collection and mobilize the public for the CVR exercise, emphasizes the importance of a credible voter register for credible elections.
