The much-anticipated 50th Anniversary celebration of Ora-Igbomina Secondary Commercial Grammar School (ORSECO) commenced today 8th October, 2025 with a colourful rally across the town, featuring both old and current students of the institution.
The parade, led by the President of the Old Students’ Association, High Chief Sunday Adetona, drew enthusiastic participation from dignitaries, alumni, and residents who turned out to celebrate the school’s golden milestone.
Receiving the rally with visible excitement, a proud alumnus of the school expressed immense joy and gratitude to God for sustaining the institution over the past five decades. He commended the school’s remarkable alumni network, which boasts accomplished professionals including Professors, Lawyers, Medical Doctors, renowned Accountants, Engineers, and Captains of industry.
In his remarks, the alumnus issued a clarion call to all past students, particularly those of Ora-Igbomina origin, to unite in restoring the school’s glory and leveraging its legacy as a rallying point to reposition Ora-Igbomina for renewed growth and prosperity.
“This school is our pride and heritage. It has produced great men and women who are making waves across the world. We must all join hands to rebuild ORSECO and make it once again the beacon of excellence it was known for,” he urged.
The grand finale of the 50th anniversary programme is scheduled to hold tomorrow at the school premises, with dignitaries, alumni, and well-wishers expected to grace the event.
