The Federal Government aims to achieve a fully paperless Civil Service by December 31, 2025, according to the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (HCSOF), Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack.
This initiative is part of the government’s efforts to modernize and enhance the efficiency of the civil service.
Already, 34,000 civil servants across the country are utilizing the “War Room” initiative provided by Galaxy Backbone Limited.
The government has praised Galaxy Backbone for its fibre connectivity to 28 states, describing it as a positive step for the country.
The HCSOF emphasized the importance of deepening collaboration between the government and Galaxy Backbone to achieve digital transformation goals.
Strategic Areas for Partnership includes -Full implementation to host and manage Ministries, Departments, and Agencies (MDAs) operations, Enterprise Content Management System (ECMS), Adoption to streamline records and workflow automation across MDAs Synergy between the 1Government Cloud Academy and the Civil Service Academy to enhance capacity development.
