Vice President Kashim Shettima has indeed described the death of former President Muhammadu Buhari as a great loss, not just to his family and the Katsina government, but to Nigeria and Africa as a whole.

This sentiment echoes the views of other notable figures, including David Umahi, Minister of Works. He described Buhari’s passing as a great national loss, highlighting his contributions to national development and commitment to anti-corruption and good governance.

The Manufacturers Association of Nigeria (MAN) while Mourning Buhari’s death, advised the federal government to reflect on his policies and create a conducive atmosphere for sustainable economic development.

The Kebbi State Governor, Dr. Nasir Idris also described Buhari’s death as a great loss to Africa, underscoring his impact beyond Nigeria’s borders.

He made the remark at a 3-day fidau prayer organized by the Federal government, Katsina state government and the family of Buhari at his residence in Daura.

Shettima who represented President Bola Tinubu used forum to eulogizes the qualities the man Buhari, consoled the family of Buhari and the good people of Katsina state.

While saying the final prayers for Buhari are scheduled for July 17, 2025, at 12 noon, he urged the good people of Nigeria to continually praying for the family left behind.

The occasion was well attended by Eminent dignitaries which includes the former Vice President, Alhaji Abubakar Atiku, Minister of Information and Culture, Alhaji Idris Muhammed, Governor of Katsina state, Alhaji Ridda, Governor of Borno state, Prof. Babagana Zulum, the Presidential candidate of Labour Party in the 2023 general election, Mr Peter Obi and many others.
