The Nigerian Education Loan Fund (NELFUND) has issued a warning to students about a fake portal circulating online with fraudulent messages.

The fake portal claims that President Bola Tinubu has directed the reopening of the NELFUND Student Loan portal, but this information is false and misleading.

Students are advised to avoid clicking on unverified links and never submit personal or financial information on suspicious websites.

“Be cautious of websites with unfamiliar or suspicious URLs. Verify the authenticity of websites and messages by contacting NELFUND directly through official channels” the adviser warned.

Students can report suspicious messages or websites to NELFUND via the official website.
