The Imole Campaign Council (TICC), campaign platform for Ademola Adeleke, has claimed that an internal political assessment allegedly commissioned within the All Progressives Congress in Osun State projects an overwhelming victory for Governor Adeleke ahead of the forthcoming governorship election.

In a statement issued on Thursday, 21st May, 2026 by the spokesperson of the council, Pelumi Olajengbesi, the report was described as an independent electoral and voter behaviour assessment allegedly conducted by analysts engaged to evaluate public mood, governance perception, and voting patterns across the state.

According to the statement, the assessment reportedly concluded that Governor Adeleke currently enjoys widespread public support cutting across civil servants, pensioners, artisans, market women, transport workers, youths, students, professionals, and grassroots stakeholders across Osun State.

The council further alleged that the assessment projected that the governor commands more than 72 percent support ahead of the candidate of the APC, with indications that the margin could widen further before the election.

TICC claimed that the report advised APC leaders against excessive financial deployment into the election, allegedly warning that public dissatisfaction against the party remains significant while Governor Adeleke’s popularity continues to grow due to what it described as visible governance achievements.

The council listed infrastructure projects, workers’ welfare reforms, payment of inherited salary obligations, healthcare improvements, educational interventions, agricultural support programmes, and rural development initiatives among factors reportedly boosting the governor’s acceptance among voters.

According to the statement, the assessment also allegedly concluded that many residents now view Governor Adeleke as more connected to the realities of ordinary citizens compared to the APC, which it said continues to battle criticisms linked to its previous administration in the state.

TICC argued that the alleged findings may explain what it described as growing panic and desperation within the Osun APC, accusing some members of the opposition party of resorting to propaganda, blackmail, violence, vandalism, and politically motivated unrest.

The council further alleged that reports had emerged from several local government areas concerning attacks on campaign materials, destruction of property, misinformation campaigns, and attempts to create tension within the political atmosphere in the state.

It, however, maintained that Governor Adeleke remains focused on governance and service delivery, insisting that no amount of political pressure or propaganda would erase what it called the visible developmental strides of the administration.

The council also called on security agencies, election observers, civil society organisations, and other democratic stakeholders to closely monitor political activities in the state to ensure peace and stability ahead of the governorship election.
