The Japanese Prime Minister Shigeru Ishiba announced a collaborative economic framework with the African Development Bank, disbursing up to $5.5 billion to Africa via Japan International Cooperation Agency (JICA) private sector investment finance.
According to him, Japan focuses on private sector-led sustainable growth, youth and women empowerment, and regional integration for Africa’s development.
Additionally, President Bola Tinubu called on Japan to support Africa’s quest for fair representation in the UN Security Council.
