Senator George Akume remains the Secretary to the Government of the Federation (SGF).
The Presidency has denied reports claiming he has been replaced by Hadiza Bala Usman, Special Adviser on Policy Coordination. Bayo Onanuga, Special Adviser to the President on Information and Strategy, described the reports as “fake news” and “fabricated falsehoods” spread by “agents of mischief”.
President Bola Tinubu, currently in Saint Lucia, has not made any new appointments regarding the SGF position.
The Presidency has officially denied the reports of Akume’s replacement. President Tinubu has not made any new appointments regarding the SGF position.
The reports were described as “fake news” and “fabricated falsehoods” by Bayo Onanuga.
